Some love it, Some hate it but it’s all part of the job. Right now there’s a lot on my editing list and it’s in danger of being a choreWacky.
Once you move away from doing photography for fun, the work soon mounts up. Jobs come in, the shoots have to be done but the processing piles up. Just today I’ve added 2 more processing piles to the list. 2 happy customers that will be now waiting patiently to see their results.
Motivation and inspiration are needed by the truckload because deadlines are deadlines, no matter how unrealistic they can sometimes be, we always aim to meet them.
I used to complain about being stuck in the darkroom all day, sniffing the fixer and squinting in the dark. Now we’re glued to a scree, ears massaged by the humming of computers, tanning our faces with our monitors.
Still, we choose to do this job, it’s not a 9 to 5 job, it’s a way of life. We just have to remember to have a life too. And on that note, I’ll return to working on my tan…
